In the Entertainment Hub section of the FH Companion App, you can listen to a few '50s Radio Stations and play mini-games. Since this article focuses on those mini-games, let’s explore each one so you understand what they’re all about. Fallout Hub Companion is currently available in Google Play Store and Amazon App Store.

The Great War Game
In this mini-game, your goal is to survive the Great War bombing. This classic adaptation of the “dodge the nukes” game features five levels, each progressively darker and more challenging. You start at level one with three lives. Each level lasts 60 seconds and includes one airdrop that grants an extra life. By the end of the game, you can potentially earn a total of eight lives, though even I haven't managed to achieve that feat. There's a “plot twist” for successfully completing The Great War, which I'll leave you to discover. The controls are straightforward: touch the left side of the screen to move left and the right side to move right. Be cautious—getting too close to a nuke costs one life, and a direct hit costs two. Good luck!
Post-Apocalyptic Adventure Game
This game is a modernized take on classic text adventure games. You're presented with a picture and text describing a narrative, along with usually three choices that determine the next chapter of the story.
There are two possible endings—good or bad—but many paths to reach them, so choose your answers wisely. The story revolves around you, a young boy searching for your little sister in a grim post-apocalyptic world. Enjoy the journey!
The Memory Game
This game is simple and styled with a '50s pre- and post-war aesthetic. You begin at level one, which has a 10-minute duration, and progress to level five, which is set to a 3-minute period. Each level features 15 pairs of cards, and you must find all matching pairs within the time limit to complete the level. Best of luck!
The Great Serpent Game
This is an adaptation of the classic Snake game from the early 2000s, reminiscent of those you could play on Nokia mobile phones. It's minimalistic, with simple mechanics: eat the yellow and green apples, but avoid the red ones, walls, and yourself. The yellow apple is one point and the green is five points. The green and red apple appear randomly over a period of time and are only there for five seconds.
The game doesn't have levels; instead, it features a high score that only you (or your friends) can try to beat. The controls are simple but may take some adjustment—left touch on the screen always turns the snake left, and right always turns it right. As you can see, my top score is 130 so try and beat that. :) Good luck as well!
UPDATE: We added a Caps Poker and Wastelands' Crazy Eights to the app, and all the mini-games can now be played on Fallout Hub Blog as well, just go to the Mini-Games section.
Caps Poker
A game of poker where you face off against the House in a battle of wits and luck. Start with 100 Caps each, and build the pot as you progress through the classic poker stages—pre-flop, flop, turn, and river. Deal your two private cards, watch the five community cards unfold, and decide to bet, check, or fold. The House AI adapts to your moves, folding with weak hands or calling your bluffs.
Wastelands' Crazy Eights
A thrilling card game where you compete against a computer to empty your hand first. Start with five cards from a 52-card deck and take turns matching the top discard pile card by suit or rank. Play an Eight as a wild card to switch the suit and gain the upper hand. The first to discard all cards wins, but watch out—the computer’s moves keep you guessing. Quick, strategic, and full of twists, can you master the chaos?
Whether you're dodging nukes, navigating a post-apocalyptic narrative, matching cards, chasing apples, or enjoying some poker cards, these mini-games in the FH Companion App offer a variety of ways to engage and have fun. Or simply, enjoy them all here, on the blog! In combination with the '50s tunes from the Radio stations, it's really a special experience. Have fun exploring, and may your adventures in the wasteland be both challenging and rewarding!
