FALLOUT

Fallout is first in a series post-apocalyptic RPG, set in an alternate universe in 2161, where you leave a Vault to survive in a world devastated by nuclear war, 80 years prior. Your initial quest is to find a new water chip to save your Vault from dehydration. The game features a deep skill system, turn-based combat, and extensive character customization.

You begin your journey in a Vault, an underground shelter designed to preserve human life. These Vaults were meant to be self-sufficient but are now facing critical issues like the one your Vault encounters with the water purification system.

FALLOUT 2

Set several decades after the events of the original Fallout, Fallout 2 continues the post-apocalyptic RPG saga in a world still recovering from nuclear devastation. You play as the descendant of the Vault Dweller from the first game, living in a small tribal village. Your journey begins when your village is threatened by drought, leading you to embark on a quest to secure a Garden of Eden Creation Kit (GECK), a device that can restore land and provide water.

Fallout 2 is often praised for its rich storytelling, character development, and the freedom it offers players in how they choose to interact with the game world. It set a benchmark for RPG depth and narrative choice in video games, influencing many subsequent titles in the genre.

FALLOUT: TACTICS

Set in the aftermath of a worldwide nuclear war, Fallout: Tactics takes place in the Fallout universe but with a distinct focus. Unlike its predecessors, which were primarily role-playing games with an emphasis on story and exploration, Fallout: Tactics shifts the gameplay towards tactical combat and strategy. 

In this game, you play as a recruit in the Brotherhood of Steel, a faction known for its technological prowess and military discipline. The narrative begins in 2197, where you lead a squad of Brotherhood soldiers in the Midwest Wasteland, particularly around the ruins of Chicago. Your mission is not about personal survival like in previous Fallout games but rather about leading a squad to protect and expand the Brotherhood's influence.
